Design

Okanagan Automation provides full control system, mechanical and electrical design for anything from small, single sensor, single purpose products like a Tire Vulcanizer to full plant integration for complex manufacturing processes. We have programmed PLCs and HMIs, drawn complete electrical drawing sets, compiled tender documents and managed projects for pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, municipal projects, pharmaceutical plants, oil and gas facilities, saw and planer mills, tire retreaders, manufacturing processes, and mining operations.

PLC and HMI Programming

We have extensive experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) including programming Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, Omron, GE Fanuc, Control Microsystems (SCADAPak), Bristol Babcock, Fisher Roc and a wide variety of others. We also build touchscreen Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) using Allen-Bradley (Panelview), Omron, Cutler-Hammer, Wonderware, and Control Microsystems.

Drafting

Our technologists draw full construction and tender drawing sets, complete with single line power schematics, three-phase power schematics, layouts, power distribution, process and identification, inputs and outputs, network drawings and cable schedules.

Support and Troubleshooting

Okanagan Automation's technologists and electricians are well equipped and experienced to track down and repair electrical, sensor and program problems in the field.

Electrical Installation

Okanagan Automation's experienced, certified staff electricians can install full control systems, drives, motors and wiring for all installations.

Panel Shop

Our full service panel shop prides itself on neatly wired, well planned panels. We build HMI, PLC, VFD, and contactor panels, along with a variety of other junction boxes and terminal boxes necessary for full electrical installs. Our panels adhere to code and are CSA certifiable.

We have designed panels to fit in a wide variety of environments from remote sites in the extreme cold of Northern Canada to heavy sawdust and rubber dust locations in BC's hot southern interior.
